Once you
experience the superior level of comfort an
American Standard TWE variable speed air handler
gives you, you'll wonder how you lived without
one for so long. And here's why. Inside a TWE is
an electric motor that drives the indoor blower.
In most standard systems this motor runs at only
one speed, full capacity, and is either on or
off.
American Standard's TWE variable speed motor
is smarter than the average blower. It
automatically varies its speed, based on heating
and cooling demands.
And here's something else. Most conventional
air handlers have only two or three fan speeds.
But with the TWE there are 12 different CFM
(cubic feet per minute) settings, meaning
greater airflow flexibility and an enhanced
level of comfort.
And since the TWE runs at a lower speed most
of the time, there's less noise. It also ramps
up slowly instead of coming on all at once, so
there is no sudden blast of air.
American Standard's exclusive Comfort-RTM
feature gives you even greater humidity control
during cooling. In this enhanced mode, set by
the installer, the motor is programmed to ramp
up more slowly at start-up, moving air slowly
across the cooling coil. This allows the coil to
rapidly cool resulting in increased moisture
removal. Comfort-RTM
also gives you a warmer air start-up during
heating with a heat pump.
